In the DVD Roger’s Pass, CP has a lot of these GEs with an arch on the trucks. Look different. Can anyone help me understand? Thanks. Bert. Cab no. 9812. A little mow research shows they could bethe steerable truck design.

Its a GE steerable truck. It was an option, but besides CSX, I dont think anyone else really took the option.

Thanks guys.
A photo of the truck would be nice. TIA.

Here is a link, scroll down to the Sample Photos to see the default, Hi-Ad truck and the optional Self-Steering Truck. While the link describes the trucks on AC4400CW, Canadian Pacific has some ES44AC with Hi-Ad trucks, and others with the Self-Steering trucks.
For comparison EMD offers the HTC-R, their version of the Self-Steering / Radial trucks, and the HTSC, non-radial trucks, although most of the SD70ACe locomotives that I had seen during railfanning, were all with the HTC-R trucks. The only time I saw HTSC trucks were inside the EMD locomotive assembly facility in Muncie, IN.
These are just my opinion,
