D8B3CCF0-D8E1-4287-B891-B3BCDA59A758I’m fairly new to using DCC to run my locomotives, and I’m attempting to install a Tsunami decoder into a Key Imports FEF-3.  Prior to, I constructed a little platform to test it...and I got nothing.  No lights, no sound.  I have the system set to #3, which is the default channel out of the package.  My assumption is that I have wired something wrong.  The led anodes are wired to the inputs, the cathodes to the common.  The speakers only have 2 connections.  I have no electric motor handy to provide a load.  My prime suspect is the “ground” connection which I have not connected to anything as the decoder already has connections for the rails.  Where would this connect to?  I include the factory diagram for reference.

Thanks for the photos, they should help. I called Soundtraxx and got a call back from their tech.  He advised that there is a blu led pilot light on the circuit board.  While looking closer at my hook ups I discovered that I had oriented the circuit board upside-down....so all the wires were on the wrong sides and in the wrong slots.  D’oh!!   So I removed power and hooked it up correctly and re-applied power.  Got my blue pilot light, but nothing else works.  Wondering if I fried something.   Also, the tech confirmed what you said about the ground.  It is unused 99% of the time.  Will need to call him again next week.
