I was watching Gas Monkey Garage on Discovery channel Saturday. They went to Export PA to buy a 1967 Caddy and in the opening credits and while test driving the car through town were shots of the green and yellow caboose sitting on the tracks in the center of town. Choo Choo Kenny

Originally PRR now recently Rails To Trails, TCKr has an interesting 125 year history. It served the huge Westinghouse plants in Turtle Creek & East Pittsburgh,PA. Westinghouse, at one time, owned a short line RR around this Turtle Creek valley. I remember seeing it as a kid 60 years ago.

Interesting. This line was new to me but the article mentions Trafford, which is where my mother lived as a girl when I believe my grandfather worked for the PRR. Their house was close enough to the tracks that she to this day (92 years old) insists that the engineer would intentionally send a blast of soot over her clean laundry hanging in the yard because she could see the look on his face. She says it was easy to shake off 'though. I've got an O scale washer woman just waiting for me to find the time and interest to create a line of wash with one side clean and the other sooty :-).
Tomlinson Run Railroad
A lot of those forgotten RRs in western Pa.
