Once again, thank you all for the compliments.  I guess I under-estimated how much interest there would be in the video.  Chris Bojanower urged me to post it, but I didn't think people would enjoy it that much.  I am so glad you did.

In answer to one question, there are no plans at the moment for a video.  The autumn scene which features five more coal mines and tipples, plus a factory, remains to be detailed anyway.  Maybe a video of the entire layout and all its scenes could be developed when that scene is complete.

I agree the slide show photos came out well, which is surprising given that the GoPro Hero2 camera used for closeup video and stills doesn't usually produce high quality photographs.

For those of you who are looking at a pile of unopened orange, purple, and blue boxes (as I did for several years), I reiterate the best piece of advice I ever got in our hobby, thanks to Jim Barrett.  He told me to put together at least a few pieces of track and run some trains and not wait until my first big layout was done.  Jim was right!  I threw together a couple of 4 X 8 pieces of plywood on some sawhorses, laid some track, hooked up some Powerhouse 180s and the TMCC system (pre-Legacy days), and had a ball running trains while I made final plans for the first Duckunder.

I learned a lot about what to do, and what not to do, from my giant 40' X 25' layout.  I'll write about that in the future and begin to post photos.  Meantime I am happy the WRAL video proved to be so much fun!
