Really not easy to tell which is which in person…even when they’re right next to each other. My wife was struggling last night telling the difference. Either way, great job Trainworld!

Green is in the foreground on this photo (:
Got a black one myself
So the silver horn is the Brunswick Green. The black horn is the black engine.
Yes, the Brunswick Green almost looks black but supposedly, From what I have been told, brunswick green were black engines with green paint painted over them hence why they look a little black. If there are any history buffs here feel free to chime in or correct me.
As to if these actual real-life engines were Brunswick green or black, the debate still goes on! Sales were split 50-50 and I have people on both sides of the aisle claiming one vs the other. It has been more heated than political debates lol

Green here. Rumor has it that MTH even had trouble telling the difference when they packed them up. Great job Ken and MTH!
Here she is next to a black (and dusty) WbB NW-2
Hey! Maybe we can do a Blue dress/ gold dress thing.

Pennsy's Brunswick Green, or officially Dark Green Locomotive Enamel (DGLE), was just a shade this side of black. Basically, a gallon of black paint with a few drop of green. It was not green paint over black.
I was going to post the same thing. I like Brunswick Green so much I used it as the color of the lettering for the signs I had made for my home building business. You could barely tell it had the green tint to it, but I knew.
Thanks Mark! I never run smoke on my diesels. Barely ever on the steam.
Lastly, does this engine have freight or passenger sounds? If passenger, what route/train/station stops?
Both are freight sounds

is it just my eyes, or does it show as a black cab on your engine?
It's not your eyes and the engine is indeed "green". In the sunlight you can see the difference but under artificial, it's really hard to tell.

I see the green on the hoods, but the cab portion appears to be black in the last shot near the switcher

I ordered a black engine, overall these are very very nice! I do wish they had a passenger script but that’s doable by swapping the sound set out. See my Utube review here.

@TrainWorld.com, could you please reach out to me regarding my engine?
Thank you
