Home of the Minnesota Transportation Museum, this former Great Northern facility was built in 1907. It replaced an original built in 1882. There is a wide variety of Twin Cities related equipment and memorabilia. Here's a look at some of the equipment.
First, "Hustle Muscle," the first SD-45 locomotive, 1966. 3,600 HP, at maximum power it consumed 187 gallons of fuel per hour.
Dan Patch, a GE 1913 Box Cab locomotive. Initailly self=propelled, then reworked to draw power from an overhead wire.
"Gopher," this business car is a Barney & Smith car, andfor a time was the hunting lodge for Win Stephens.

C&NW Train signs, I remembered these from my trips to Negaunee, also shown in the Railway Mail boxes!
