Watching a couple of Lionel Legacy NYC RF-16s and was wondering what is the difference between the two sets. One is part number 6-34519 and the other is 6-38568. Obvious they have different road numbers, but is one better then the other? Thanks in advance.

Looking on Lionel's website - see the Search in upper RH corner of screen - will let you get the descriptions. Put in the item numbers. This should tell you what you need to know. They may have simply been produced a few years apart (for different catalogues) and are essentially identical. Road numbers are probably different, at least.
I think the truck assemblies are slightly different. Both are twist-offs, just one is a later design I guess. There are some good photos in the listings that show the differences. When I was 3RSing my PRR set, Mario had posted his NYC versions and that's when we figured out there were some running gear changes.
I think the boards are slightly different too, modular vs. whatever...
One is the first generation Legacy electronics and the second has the newer boards and it has the sensor for the sensor tracks.
