I’d check across the coil for continuity (less than a few Ohms).  You could also check to see if the button is malfunctioning by bypassing the control button; temporarily jumper across the uncoupler controller terminals to see if the coil energizes.  Be careful not to leave the coil energized for more than a few seconds and power it with only 10 to 14 volts AC.  Higher voltages and direct current cause the coil to overheat faster potentially leading to permanent failure.
