I have a few SD70ace's both legacy from 2007 and 2018 from Lionel. Both sound great but the sound set from 2007 is deeper and the whistle is better then the newer versions.
Does anybody else find that to be also? Do you prefer the older version or the newer version. There is really no winner here because they both sound great but I do prefer the older version.

The '08. I've got three from that run and love the road number specific crew talk however, the e bell on the new ones is awesome!
I have the fantasy NH Sd70 with legacy. I think this has the proper prime mover and the horn on it is stellar. I can take or leave the bell too. If only all the aces were like this, I’d buy 1111! Too bad they sound like sd40s today
