Here is a sight you don't see everyday, two steam engines passing by each other. The video was taken at this past Labor Day's weekend at the Illinois Railway Museum. It was their 60th anniversary celebration weekend. They brought in the two visiting steam engines for the celebration. The Museum's almost rebuilt 1630 Frisco steam engine is planned for a return to service in 2014.

You were lucky to have the 126 running that weekend. Based on the Gramling's Facebook page, 126 blew a cylinder Friday. I've posted some of the photos from their Facebook page and all credit goes to the Gramling family

"Barney and Sadie Saddletank, aka Lehigh Valley Coal Co. 126, had an exciting adventure at the Illinois Railroad Museum over Labor Day Weekend. Their first event together didn’t get off to a very good start though. Friday around noon Barney and crew were using Sadie to do some switching on the museum grounds to get ready for the big weekend. Sadie lost a pin, blew a piston right out through the cylinder head, and looked and sounded like she was done for. Barney took the affected areas apart and then came home to Indiana to borrow another cylinder head (from “Mack”, the engine now in the restoration shop) and make necessary parts. He was back early Saturday morning and had the engine all fixed up and running again before noon! Sadie surprised a lot of people by making it back in the rotation pulling her trains and performing admirably the rest of the weekend. Well done, Barney! There were a lot of cameras watching Barney and Sadie through the repair process as well as the weekend’s trips and we hope to have more pictures to share soon."
