I would have posted this video on the next Weekend at the Movies but I am going to be out of town at a Military Vehicle camp out in California. Alex M posted video of his great work on upgrading this locomotive for me but it is even better than I imagined. I want to thank Alex for his nice work, one of the most extensive on a locomotive I have had done with TMCC, EOB, RS5, LED lighting and back up light on tender.
This is a video of the Lionel Army Locomotive pulling my Army supply train leaving Temple, TX on southbound tracks towards San Antonio. The troops guarding the trains were able to take advantage of the stop in Temple to quench their thirst with a Lone Star beer or two. Enjoy.
Thanks Brian, you already know the quality of work Alex does. He aced this one.
Thanks Roger and Keith for you kind comments.
Anyone can add their photo's or video of their military train or bases if they wish. There has to be a lot more among forum members. Here is your chance.
Great train! I am obsessed army trains especially with flatcars hauling WWII armor. You have a great variety on your train. I wish MTH and Lionel did more flatcars with WWII loads, or for that matter any WWII army cars.
Charlie, Alex, T4TT and Spence thank you for your special "likes" and comments. I plan on placing the Army train on display for special VFW and other Veterans events including the VA hospital. I hope this may be a good type of therapy for those who served our country and have disabilities of one kind or another. My military train is dedicated to them.
Here is a video of my Military Train at this past year's open house at the Black Diamond Society of Model Engineers in Bethlehem Pa. It is pulled by two Lionel PRR steamers a Y3 and a J1 both upgraded by Alex M.
