Note the "hooks" on the window insert.
This reminds me that I borrowed the pickup from this awhile back. I'll put a fresh one on while I have it open.

Thank-you for the awesome tips Mitch! I was careful to remove roof but it was fastened tightly I thought it would break as I took it off!
The caboose bulb wasn't burnt out, it was poor solder connections at the pick-up rollers.

Hi Guys, this is really helpful! I think the Hot Wheels caboose is also the same type used on the Lionel Lines Bluetooth set that came out a few years ago. I just packed the set away, but the picture on the set box looks like the same caboose. I doubt if I would have figured this out on my own, so thanks much!
