Does anyone know if Lionel, or any manufacturer for that matter, has ever made passenger cars to match the greyhound paint back when #844 was a passenger train?

If looking for UP greyhound passenger cars. There is MTH 20-65263 which is a 5 car set. Then there was add 2 pack and vista(67263). Not sure respective number of 2 packs
As jjwyatt stated above, MTH did make a set UP passenger cars in Two-Tone Gray.

Weaver also made UP streamlined cars in two-tone gray some years ago. Don't know the part number on those.
Golden Gate Depot offered 80' heavyweight cars in two tone gray. There were 4 car sets of coaches, a three-car head end set offering, and separate observation, diner, and sleepers in 8-1-2 and 12-2 configurations.
Speaking of Two-Tone Gray heavyweights, K-Line made a set of 18" heavyweight cars in Two-Tone Gray. I believe those were from the 1990's but I'm not sure if they made set in the 2000's with streamlighting and interior.
I don't get a commission, but just wanted to let you know, that the 18" K-Lines mentioned above are currently available at Trainz. They are being sold as 4 separate cars, frosted windows with outline figures. IMO The price is right. Believe that is the only way those are available. If you want interiors could convert them yourself.
Don't forget the Williams Crown Edition 80' gray-on-gray heavyweights with 72' baggage car. Look for No. 2701.
