At our local Terminus Chapter TCA meet this past Saturday, our display table showcased Union Pacific trains. There was a great selection of U.P. items displayed.

Of course I couldn't resist bringing a few Standard Gauge gems along...

Wow.  Nice display, you guys did good. There's some great stuff there.  Love the three M10000's lined up together. And the G scale Challenger looks like it would dwarf even Bob Thon's.

Do you know if Al Merris put the Oregon - Washington Railroad & Navigation graphics on the steeple cab, or did someone add them later?  Looks great: mine is just painted yellow.

Somebody did a nice job with the printed identification signs as well; really nice presentation.

That's how Al Merris did them. I have seen them in red lettered for the Pacific Electric, in orange for the Illinois Terminal Railroad Company, and in yellow as above. Your yellow one could have been done by him, but I would think not. Does it have the serial number tag on the bottom?

My yellow steeple cab has "Virginian" in black lettering on it, and a black frame and roof; otherwise all yellow.  On the bottom is "SN026", which I take to be a serial number?

I was just over at the train loft noticing the Forney yellow Union Pacific standard gauge box car, it's almost identical to the CMT version except the graphics are reversed right to left of the door.

Thanks Dave, kinda what I thought. Any chance of good photograph of the logo on the Hartford car? I want to add a custom kitchen car and equipment car to my roster.

Steve, that's the 1982 TTOS "Hartford" car with the Blue roof.  If I remember correctly, you were looking for a variation of it?

you just caught me, on my way out of town for a few days.  Glad I checked in. Steve these were 8 x 5, 300dpi when I uploaded them, don't know what the ogr server does with them,  but they should be good enough to use?

With apologies to Arno for all these off-topic photos on your UP thread, but... they're yellow, right?

Thanks Dave. I have a spare TCA Denver combine also, so I think I will go ahead with a fake Hartford also. It will have major differences, but be a good fleet filler till I find a real one.
