I have a 6-28567 Legacy Union Pacific GP-7 I am going to rebuild. Currently it's a mostly everything from the frame up. The trucks are missing. Lionel only has a few parts for this engine, but I am able to kitbash parts from other Legacy GP-7s, cause those are still available. So I need to repaint the front and rear pilots and the side frames. I was able to find the UP gray in Tru-color. Now I need to find the UP silver for the truck side frames. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a purist, but as close as possible is preferred.

Thanks

I doubt a special silver was used. I'd just find a nice silver paint at your local craft or hobby store and use that.

I always used ScaleCoat "Aluminum", which matches the original UP "Bright Aluminum" as used on journal covers on their steam locomotives, and truck side frames all the way through the early diesel era.
