Caught this GP60 and GP38-2 in action this afternoon at Uptown Station in Normal, IL.

Very nice.
So clean they look like toys. Good picture also.
That’s an awesome shot Andy!!! Love those locos.
Thank You for the beautiful pictures of a great paint scheme. Wow. I’ve always liked the UP colors. Merry Christmas
Yard Engines? Look like road engines to me. But true yard engiines on Class 1's are rare today.
Did like the SP GP60'S. Glad some are still running. Nice shot.

Due to no bathrooms...
Sure about the GP60 as a yard loco? I thought all yard engines on the UP the road number began with a 'Y'.

Mostly true. The two units in the posted photo are most likely assigned to local/transfer service, and NOT "yard service", i.e. strictly assigned to ONLY yard switching. Plus, UP has placed many GP50s and GP60s into local service.
EDIT. Also, for what it's worth, those two units in the posted photo do NOT appear to be "in transit", but simply running light. The term "in transit" would generally indicated that they are being moved "dead in tow", which is not indicated in the photo.
Very nice shot, I really like it. Thanks for sharing with us.
Good photo. Thanks for sharing. Are you in Normal or we're you just passing through?
There's an old Cotton Belt unit that mutts around the Bloomington-Normal area. It's fun to see once in a while. It has a SP nose and UP numbers slapped on the side if the cab.
