Pretty self explanatory article. 4141 pulled under wraps by UP 1943. Transferred to truck for delivery to final display location. Nice pictures in story.

So it’s just going to sit there? It was painted in honor of the elder George Bush and used to transport his body to his final resting place, but why retire it to permanent display?

If you do some more internet sleuthing you will find out that this was planned for quite a while. I know the fluids were drained and presumably the batteries removed. I don't know if the engine was left in it or if it's just a shell.

As previously stated, ALL the critical major components have been removed, i.e. the "engine room" is empty.
It should be a great addition to the library! President Bush 41 was a good, decent man and deserves this honor! :-)
The UP deserves recognition for their generous contribution!
