Few weeks ago I had the pleasure of traveling to Portland, Oregon on business.  In fact I stayed an extra day to go see the SP 4449 at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

It was nothing short of an amazing experience seeing this incredible engine up close.  They are getting her ready for inspection hence being able to crawl up into the engine itself.  The docents and volunteers were only too happy to share their knowlege.  4 hours was not nearly enogh time to take it all in but alas I had a flight to catch.
