jim sutter...I do not know what stores will carry these RMT tank cars. Would suggest trying any OGR Forum sponsors first then asking your local hobby store to contact Emery Distributors and order them. Emery is the only RMT distributor and will stock the entire RMT product line.

I like the no thumb tack design for the trucks. For those of us without a lot of uncoupling sections on the layout is there a tab or other means to open the coupler manually?

These cars will have similar couplers as the MTH Premier cars and will uncouple with the hidden tab.

Ken lionel...don't know where you get your tank car and boxcar info...RMT tank cars do not have thumb tack uncouplers and RMT boxcars were only a traditional car size made over 10 years ago and no longer part of RMT product line.

No im saying that the thumb tac uncoupling works fine with also having a tab to manual uncouple. The Susquehanna box car you sold has the new style uncoupler like the proposed new tank cars. And the box car wobbles like crazy as it rolls around the track.
And they rattle.
Your older boxcars that i have owned did not wobble. Nor has any lionel, k line, mth, industrial rail i have owned. Just your Susie Q and a menards box car which i think are made by the same co in China
I've been buying Walter's products for years. I've never experienced any wobble or any issues with couplers at all. In fact I find them to be rugged performers on my layout. I think I can say that after stringing together 60 to 80 RMT cars in a train.
Ken lionel...For the record - AGAIN - RMT cars are not made in the M production facility. The Susie-Q boxcar you mention was one of the original traditional RMT boxcars, made years ago, that you just stated now that do not wobble.
MichRR714...your comments from an operator's standpoint are what I have found to be 100% consistent.

The wobble is in the body of rmt Susquehanna box car and the uncoupler on that car rattles like crazy. Older rmt are not an issue. Im saying if the new rmt cars use the same trucks are they going to rattle?
How old is that Susie q then? Walter it wobbles! And the trucks rattle noticably

Ken lionel...NYSW boxcar, like all RMT cars, has a built date on carbody side...in this case 2017.
