Sorry, I should have been more specific that I am not looking for a P70 style coach!
Ah yes Chicago weather. At the last meet, 2 years ago, It was cold windy and rainy the day I arrived. It was gorgeous the next day, It was cold windy and rainy on the 3rd day and it was beautiful on the day I left.
As the cliche says "hope for the best, plan for the worst and be prepared for surprises."
If you stay inside the hotel the entire time it doesn't make any difference. If you rent a car and drive around it's a different story; I don't. I let taxis or the hotel shuttle or other local transit take me anywhere I might want to go so it is not my problem.

Pffft! Just shows you how little I know about Pennsy stuff. I thought a P70 was 70 feet long.

A friend who lives in the area tells me it is supposed to snow next week in Chicagoland. I'm from CA. I say: What's snow? I think I'lll leave my shorts at home. NH Joe
Um, that white stuff that occasionally shows up in the Sierra Nevada mountains of CA. You'll know it if it happens because all of the roads leading to the Sierra east of 5 will experience gridlock with all the Californians trying to get up to the ski areas at the same time.
Concerning the proposed "OGR Meet & Greet", please clarify where this will be held (I believe it is proposed for noon)?
Thanks.
@rattler21 posted:Joe, I don't know from where your friend gets his weather forecast. The ones I see show a high in the mid-forties for the next ten days. John
He lives in Naperville. I asked him about the weather for next week and that is the reply I got. NH Joe

It will be held in the Westin Hotel's Magnolia Room at noon on Saturday. The location should be posted at the show. I am looking forward to meeting you. NH Joe

OK, and thanks for the info. Although I am not planning on attending the Meet, I will be meeting friends for lunch, at the Rock Bottom Brewery (across the mall, west of the Westin Hotel). Thus, I may try to attend the "OGR Meet & Greet", and then go to our lunch about 1PM.
Also looking forward to meeting a New Haven fan, from California.
Keep this on topic....the thread is not meant to be a weather report or history lesson.

It is 12 noon on Saturday.
Will be attending the meet and driving in afternoon Friday from North Carolina. Planning to attend the 0 Scale Kings event that evening.
Can I get registered Friday to attend the event? I can't pre plan (unless reservation refundable) many days out due to family issues, but hopefully I'm good for this weekend.
Thanks
