I've been looking/watching Hi/Lo for something of an update on this Locomotive....Tried their site, as well as, "Trains", but have found nothing, and maybe there is nothing to find......Other than their Open House at their site in Albuquerque, NM....

I saw they had a derailment problem in/at a pit, at their site, back in Aug of this year,  and they also made a post when they blew the trash out of the boiler tubes, and steam chests....Just wondering if any of our folks here on the "OGR" has anything different....?......Thanks in Advance ..........Brandy !

Hi Brandy, I am doing a story on the incredible restoration this team is pulling off for the magazine I work for, Railroading in America Magazine. I can assure you they are making good progress, and the 2926 will be ready before you know it. If you want regular updates, check out their Facebook or Instagram page.

Max, I've look at that sight as well, but haven't seen anything to date, but I haven't looked this am either......Thanks for the input, and good luck on your article that you are doing.......it will be great to have another operating "Steam Locomotive", that we can see, and read about....!

There was rumor from Cheyenne, that the UP #4014 could have a fire in it's belly before the end of this year, but you can hear anything, especially when it comes to Railroad Equipment, and Steam Engines especially............Lol !

Thanks there Laid Off, but it just seemed like any new news about the engine, after the 1st fire up, kinda died on the vine.....I thought about calling the Land Line, but with all I know that they have going on and the Open House, I didn't want to bother them with some phone call wanting to know if they had their engine under power, as I know if they did that, it would be some front page news somewhere....But thanks again anyway...

I'm sure that the folks involved with the 2926 restoration do NOT want to copy what happened with the Western Maryland Scenic RR and Trains Magazine!

How is it possible to not find info on the 2926 restoration? They maintain the single most up to date restoration website in the Steam Locomotive field.

There are photos and short videos added practically every week. Plus short write ups and Quarterly news letters posted on the website.

Direct links to relevant info on their website.
