updating my Cab2 base and remote

I see Lionel is no longer selling the wifi controller. I want to update by Cab 2 system. I don't have a black module. I do have a the wifi 6-81325 however. So can I still update using the that wifi controller? Lionel keeps changing everything making thing more challenging

You will need a writable module to upgrade regardless.  There are several tutorials on how to create one from a Blue Module if you can't find a black one.
