I don't know if someone else has already commented on this issue, but I went to M.B. Kleins aka modeltrainstuff.comrecently and they are advertising in store that they will upgrade your TIU's for free until March 31, 2016. I did not confirm the deal but thought if someone needed assistance and they were in the area they could have it done for them there at no charge. Hope this helps.
