I just upgraded my TIU and remote to v5 without any issue. Now, the TIU won't read any of my trains. I can add existing trains (sytem/add train), but all other trains show as offline. Also, I'm not receiving "RF Out of Range" on my remote, which I've never received before (brand new batteries). Any ideas? Thanks.

Try tethering your remote to the TIU.

I was going to try that, but I've never had this error or issue in the past, until I upgraded my TIU. Is this a common issue after an upgrade, or is there something I need to do to fix it so I don't have to leave it tethered?
When a TIU is removed from the layout to be upgraded, rough handling often will cause the transceiver board to float out of its socket, causing the symptoms that you're seeing. This can also happen with the remote.
If the problems are resolved when the TIU and remote are tethered, that's the cause.
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition", available for purchase from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at OGR’s web store!
I doubt if it's a loose receiver board if you can add new engines, I suspect the address of your tiu may have changed, Engines are associated with the tiu they've been added to in Normal mode.
There are a coup[le of ways around this.. Delete and add the engines again or make sure a engine is on a powered track and try the "read". The read is king of engine/ tiu association and will move the association over to the tiu.
Another though.... I could be all wet on this but.. check out the red blinks on top of your tiu when it powers up. Each blink is the actual tiu number. How any blinks?
