Just saw this story in our local evening paper about Union Pacific celebrating its 150th. birthday in 2012. The attached link may be of some interest to all railroad fans. In five days, there apparently is going to be an online store offing items for sell to celebrate this occasion.

In June of 2009 I purchased shares of Union Pacific common stock at $52.50 each.
As of December 31, 2011 the price was $105.92 each. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also as a Union Pacific stockholder one is entitled to a company calendar each year. The 2012 calendar is special because it's the 150 anniversary calendar and it is quite large as well.

How does one get this calendar? I own a couple shares...but no one ever sent me a calendar.

Edit: Googled my own question. Here's the link if anyone else is a shareholder

Yes, the Union Pacific Railroad is the only U.S. based class one railroad that has been operating with it's original name from day one of it's operation 150 years ago this year.

One way to get a Union Pacific Calendar each year if one is a Union Pacific shareholder is to contact the Union Pacific Store by going to the company's website and ask that your request be forwarded to the person that handles shareholder calendar requests and your name will be placed on the mailing list for future calendar mailings. That's what I did.
