Can Lionel 18" Aluminum Station Sounds Diner cars be made to operate with Cab2 Legacy controllers, eg.6-25419. I have three of these and can get them to work with Cab 1 but have been unsuccessful programming with Legacy.

Info on the Cab2 should read TMCC or Cab1 and RS or RS5, not Legacy RS. Along with that you may have set your Legacy Locomotive to TMCC as well though not sure about that.

You should be able to operate the Legacy locomotive in native Legacy and the SS Diner in TMCC using the Train Link feature.
