I recently purchased two MTH PS2 engines. I currently only have a lionel cab 1l, tmc 300 and a Lionel ZW post-war Transformer. Please advise how to run the MTH PS2 engines with the above lionel equipment. Am I losing a lot of options with my linel equipment? Would I be much better off to purchase the MTH DCS equipment and used both? Please advise. Your help is much appreciated as always.

You should read and follow the TPC 300/\'s instructions for operating your PS2 engines in conventional mode. Your current setup will not operate DCS engines in DCS mode.

Yes, you're losing 75% or so of the DCS features of your PS2 engines.

You just convinced me to get dcs!!! Please advise how to operate both systems on one layout to get the best of two worlds.I just got dcs manual.

The short answer is to just hook up both and use each with its own controller. The longer, much more detailed discussion of how to interoperate DCS and Legacy together may be found in The DCS Companion 3rd Edition.
