Is it possible to utilize a PS3 unit from a HO F3 in a 3 rail engine? I gather that 'stock' the PS3 cannot provide the required power for the larger motors. Is there a way to add a 'booster' board that could plug in between the unit and the motors?
Would it be capable of powering a single Williams can motor 'as is'?
We acquired a nice MTH HO F3 set and I hate to let a 'pufuctly good' PS3 unit go...

Why not put in a call to MTH Service to ascertain a definitive answer?
Now why didn't I think of that - Thanks Mark. I just spoke with 'Don' in service and he was very nice in explaining that the PS3 is a 'whole different animal in HO'. Say's the O gauge version is at least two times larger and 'heavier' in capacity. Their is no way to change sound sets in them either - not as flexible as the O gauge system.
Guess I'll be posting this nice HO F3 set on eBay soon...
