Valentine's Day sale at Trainz.com

I see lots of preview and sold out vs. items for sale. Scale items are quite thin right now. Lots of crumbs.

We've had a surprisingly large amount of buyers for this sale. The page is designed to stop showing products once they've been sold, but we're being hammered faster than it can keep up. The preview items are moving slower since you have to be a Private Car member to purchase them, so they tend to gravitate to the top.

Why did you list preview items as part of the sale if you have to be a Private Car member to purchase them?  Seems to me if you have these items listed as part of the sale you advertised to the general public you should allow them to be purchased by anyone.

The entire true O used market is dried up right now. Anything that's still unsold, is 3 times the price it generally goes for. (Supply and demand)

Trainz has provided me with a ton of good deals in the last 2 years while other sellers and MFG's have been taking advantage on the uninformed. Hobby has been in question for some time now. Its "O" future is uncertain.

Market is flooded with the non scale toy stuff.

Shortly before the Amherst show at the end of January we picked up a huge collection of O Modern. Lots of unique and good condition stuff, and we've been checking them in and getting them listed as fast as we can. Newly listed collectibles are in that Exclusive Preview window for a week after being listed, which gives our Private Car members a chance to get first crack. We actually overhauled our Private Car program recently, and we bumped up the points earned per dollar spent from 3/$ up to 5/$, and kept the cost of the membership the same at $10.95 a month.

For a free fix, you can always flip the sort order, make it Oldest to Newest, which will show you freight cars that are out of the Exclusive Preview window first. Try this link to see oldest first, and see if that helps.
