Going to look at a small lot of Lionel stuff. The only items I think are worth much are the 3 engines. All have been in dry storage for 40 years. Anyone care to share a possible value of a 2321 Trainmaster, a 2037, (I think), a steam engine that has a 243W tender,m and a silver set of Alcos, 2033.

I am most interested in the Trainmaster, but will have to take it all, including 9 run of the mill cars. Seller asking $600.00, or make offer. I think that is way too much.

Suggestions appreciated.

I use completed auctions on eBay to determine recent sales of items.

The 2321 has gone for between $125 and $175 in the past three months.

The 2037 is generally a $50 deal these days.

A pair of 2033 Alcos, from between $75 and $150, greatly depending on condition.

The cars? No more than $10 each.

As a lot consisting of stuff I mostly don’t want, I would pay no more than $300, in this case, if I thought I could sell the stuff I don’t care about. If I just wanted the Train Master, I would pass on the deal if I couldn’t get it for less than $200.

Personally, I'd pass on the lot because I do not want to acquire the Trainmaster and then have to find buyers for the rest of the stuff for the deal to make sense.  Now, if you want the steamer and the Alcos that's different.
