I'm running my triplex with the basic app. I don't see a way to turn on the smoking whistle. Does the upgrade app control the variable whistle?

When you purchase the upgrade, does the app self update? does it need to be reinstalled? I had the basic MTH app open and selected upgrade. I got an email with a symbol for train WIFI. when I loaded it, there are now ringtones on my phone? I don't think that's the app? Urrggg.

There's a control to turn on the playable whistle, for engines that have that feature, on the Engine Settings screen. A smoking whistle turns on and off with the playable whistle.

Yes, for any device where you actually purchase the in-app upgrade. Although you must purchase the in-app upgrade for each device upon which the app is installed, you're only charged once, for the first device on which you upgrade the app.

Not unless you delete it from a device.
