Yep, Lionel has returned to much more efficient order handling, hopefully the slow days of last year are behind us.
WOW! I ordered parts just after midnight Thursday and received the package on Saturday. Probably helps that I live in Concord.
I'm wondering if the launch of a usable parts site by MTH prompted the upgraded efficiency at Lionel?

I've always had fast shipping from Lionel so I doubt it. I really don't think Lionel cars what the other side is doing.
The site is what was calling usable Grampstrains not the parts

I also ordered very early Friday, around 12:05 AM, just checked and my order is still listed as “processing.”
I ordered parts over a week ago and mine are still pending. It says the estimated receipt is 10/10/2021.
Thanks to some tips from other Forum members, I queued up my parts order on Thursday and placed it at 7 AM on Friday. Received the parts in the mail just before noon. That's great service ......... or was I just lucky?

Excellent service from Lionel! I ordered online before normal business hours on Friday and by that afternoon my order was shipped. It arrived to my house in California with Monday's mail. It was securely packed in a heat sealed plastic bag and placed in one of those priority mail boxes from the post office.
In order to get this kind of service, everything had to work out just right! Their online order software had to be functioning well. They needed the ordered items to be in stock, you can't ship what you don't have. They had to have people processing orders fast, I suspect they called in employees from other departments just for this event. They needed an adequate quantity of plastic bag heat sealers, I suspect some employees brought in their own Seal-a-meal machines just for this event. They needed good equipment to print the shipping labels, I have used stamps.com but they used a company I never heard of called stamps endicia. And finally, the post office had to process everything efficiently.
So, for all of us who received excellent service, kudos to Lionel!

I think normal dealer parts shipments didn't get the special handling that the annual parts sale did. No big loss, I'll have them soon enough.
