I wanted to Congratulate C.Sam for a very nice article on ProtoPhotos in Run 273.  The picture of N&W 611 model with Blue Ridge Mountains in the background looks so realistic!  All his pictures are outstanding!  Looking at those pictures this morning makes me miss living in that part of the country.  I enjoyed looking at the extra pictures in Premium Members perk pages too.  Sam, thanks for sharing these pictures and your article.  Great job!

Thanks fells for the kind comments. I would encourage all of you to try shooting your trains outdoors sometime. It gives you a whole new perspective on your models.

Someone posted a very nice shot of a Santa Fe E6 I think it was a month or so ago that I did a double-take on it looked so real. Had telephone lines and a nice sky in the background...

Well I am late to get on board, as usual.  I saw the article was in the issue, but only got to read it last night, and realized Sam Hopkins is our very own c.sam.  The photo beside the car is what finally tipped me off.

Sam, the article was inspiring.  I love the Blue Ridge, having lived farther north in Virginia for 10 years, we visited that part often.  I have seen photos where others do something similar as you, but your photos just jumped off the page!  Also your car looks so much like the white 2004 Hyundai Sonata I drive, it grabbed my attention.

I am also intrigued because I have so little space right now in my home for a layout, that playing around with some outdoor photo ops sounds good.  I think I will work on my own after our younger daughter's wedding next month.  Right now, I hardly have time to think.
