Rich,

You have done a marvelous job with the video preview.  A first class production!

The other magazine (no competition for OGR) pales next to your thoughtful, well presented look into the future issue.  Sure you weren't into announcing or TV in another time? Right up there with Reagan when he hosted the old West series back in the 50's.

Please keep these coming.  It fleshes out the magazine, (so to speak)  with the human touch.  I really enjoyed every minute of it.

Yes, I worked in radio many years ago. I've also done a lot of voice-overs for various TV spots and corporate videos over the years. And there have been a few on-camera gigs as well, including a couple of OGR videos.

You are comparing me with Renaldus Magnus? Wow. That is quite an honor. I am humbled. He was by far the best president this country has had in my lifetime.

Jim

Well...let's see...I've been here more than five years now and haven't had a real break yet (unless you want to count a couple of days at York as a vacation).  It's a continuing process, with work on one issue overlapping work on the next and planning for those beyond.  And at this season of the year, with three consecutive issues and the first spring issue hot on their heels, there's not even much time for partaking in Christmas and the New Year.  Heck, I'm already thinking about what I might do for next December's issue.

But some issues of the magazine are easier than others, thanks to the contributions of other hobbyists who are willing to invest their time and energy in providing interesting and informative material.  Without those folks--many of whom are members of this forum--it would be more work than fun.

It's something you do because you enjoy doing it, and not really for any other compelling reason.

OK Alan, what is a man hours estimate?  Just trying to really appreciate the effort it takes.   I enjoy the mag and have been a subscriber since 2003 - how many hours of work goes into my readings?  From the articles, to working with the printing press, advertisers, subscriptions sales, daily activities, etc.

You Alan was busy working the day I stopped in during one of Lionel's Repair seminars a few years back.  Still chuckle about when you asked me how much a plane ticket from Utah was.  I had traded a Lionel UP General that I just happened to purchase from you for my plane ticket.

Jim
