LCCA Members attend the TW TrainWorx Layout Festival! (recap)
Thanks go out to all of the LCCA members and friends who stopped by our display and attended TW TrainWorx's October 27, 2012 Layout Festival.  LCCA President Dennis DeVito appreciates your feedback, suggestions and inputs.  Bob "Choo Choo" Carter and Ed "the Voice" Richer really enjoyed meeting with you and catching up with ya'all!

Thank you for your generous donations that will go to benefit the local Ronald Mc Donald House.  It is very satisfying to see our members have so much fun with Lionel trains, and simultaneously help a very worthwhile and meaningful charitable organization.  The Ronald McDonald House foundation helps families in their time of need; when they are dealing with a family member's serious medical condition.  There were over 50 LCCA members at the show - with over 500 total attendees.  Roger and TW Trainworx donated a check for $5,000 to Ronald McDonald.  The LCCA is proud to be part of that effort.

The positive responses regarding the appearance, unique engine sounds and running of the pair of LCCA General Engines commemorating the "150th anniversary of the Great Train Chase was overwhelming.  We had a production pair of Generals running on LCCA's Mini Layout.  This layout which was designed and built by TW TrainWorx demonstrates what can be done with a small space.  You do not have to have a large space to have your own operating Lionel Layout.  Many members had favorable things to say about the Mini and the Generals.  Boy, did they look great and ran well.

Production samples of the Tinplate set were also on display.  Lou did a great job in getting the paint "just right" and developing a wonderful set for us.

We also received very positive response about our introduction of the New LCCA/Lionel Fastrack Modular Railroad system.  These modules can be used as a great show piece for any club, business, school, Boy Scout/Girl Scout organization etc.  Each module can be custom decorated and landscaped to demonstrate your products, activities, business or organization.  We hope this concept will continue to grow and bring new people into our hobby.  Again, you do not have to have a lot of space to enjoy and operate your own Lionel layout.  Build a module and bring it to a future LCCA Special Event.

The BNSF Railroad layout featured in CTT and Lionel's NYC's Grand Central Terminal layouts were absolutely phenomenal.  TW TrainWorx demonstrates again why they are (in our opinion) the premier layout design and build organizations for traveling layouts in the country.  These layouts have mass appeal and help introduce and re-introduce thousands of people every year to the magic of Lionel trains and the model railroad hobby.

Thanks again for visiting with us at TW TrainWorx Layout Festival.  Our team of volunteers really enjoyed meeting with you and "talking trains".  Our sincere thanks and appreciation go out to our gracious and generous hosts, Roger and Dorcie Farkash.  Thanks to the Traingineers at TW TrainWorx for volunteering and making this great Special Event so much Fun!  And a shout out to Mike Regan and Brian Kunkle from Lionel LLC for their continued support.

We hope to see you all again at the upcoming 12-9 -12 LCCA Special Charity Event in NorthPark Mall in Dallas Texas.  Donations from this event will also go to the benefit of the Dallas Ronald Mc Donald house.  Who knows, maybe Cowboy Bob Carter and his pink pony may make an encore appearance at this LCCA Special Event.  Hope to see ya'all there!

It is you, our members, that make the LCCA "the best toy train club on the planet!"

Thanks again!
