Very Nice Alex, I love the color Yellow.

Given the trucks have the shiny silver finish, these look to be the 4-pack 18" set that Lionel produced in 2008 to accompany the 844.  Terrific looking cars.  (The earlier UP "City of Denver" set had the dull grey finish on the trucks.)

Yes, I've worked out that these are the cars from the 2008 catalog. Impossible to find . . . Although the vistadome seems to have been re-issued in 2011.

Pretty soon Alex will have to change his handle to 'Passenger Train Collector 2'

Hancock52, the item number to these cars are 6-35415, I was lucky enough to find them on the Trainz.com auction site.

Yes, a UP 2-pack was added to the roster.  

 

UP enthusiasts can also look forward to the "City of Los Angeles" 4-pack that was catalog'd this year.  Just won't know definitively if it will get the shiny silver treatment on the trucks... Or the dull grey finish.

I run this same version of the 844 with the Lionel coaches you have shown on the video. I like this train so much that it is always on one of my main lines. Thanks for posting these excellent videos.

 

There was a two-pack and a Station Sounds Diner that goes with this set as well. I run the 7 car set.

 

Sam, WOW Passenger Train Collector 2, I like the sounds of that.
