Viewliner & Amfleet scale cars by GGD

@sdmann - Are the reservations for these cars closed? I know you said they will close in June, but they are still on the website, so I am a little confused.

I’ve been waiting for these for - literally - years.  Of course I have a set of Amfleet on order.  By coincidence I emailed Scott today about their production schedule.  His answer was that they will be in production Oct - Dec and he expects to be shipping them in January

I’m getting in late in the game, but I picked up some of the last AMFLEETs in stock. Waiting patiently on delivery.

The second run is taking “stand by” reservations. Anyone familiar with how this works and what are my chances of scoring some VIEWLINERs when they come in?

View liners came in already.  Think they are all gone. The stand by is actual reservations for a 2nd run.

There will be a second run of Viewliner IIs and Amfleet cars when sufficient orders justify doing the run.  If you are interested, place a pre-order as that is the only way to gauge true interest in the 2nd run and to get to a point where there will be enough orders to move forward with production. 

I am interested in getting a few Phase VI Amfleet cars myself to go with my current Viewliner cars.

Yeah. I picked up a Baggage and Diner of the VIEWLINERs. Got the 5 car Amfleet set too. Does GGD send a tracking number with shipment? I haven’t gotten one yet.

I can do with a couple VIEWLINER sleepers and maybe a Bag/Dorm. So guess I better place a reservation. Maybe a couple more Amfleet coaches too.

Has anyone converted 2R to 3R? The models in stock list that as $30/car option. I’m not sure if that means they will send the car with a kit or make the change for you.

You will get a UPS tracking number.  GGD/3rd Rail/Sunset is working remotely currently so be a little patient.

I have a 2 rail Amfleet coach and other 12 cars are 3 rail.  Scott told me that it was a wheelset swap that I could do myself.  You might just call and ask as I honestly don't know what the $30 a car option covers.  I liked 2 rail one so much, I decided not to swap wheels even though my other 63 Amtrak cars are all three rail.
