While perusing a stack of old magazines that I recently acquired, I came across an advertisement that I thought was quite unusual for a Model Train magazine.
The October 1951 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman has an Atlas Flex Track ad (page 41) featuring Shelly Winters. It plugs a movie called "The Raging Tide".
The ad is touting "curvable HO track", and Ms. Winters certainly was curvey.
Is there any other tie-in?
Has anybody seen any other "Cheesecake" ads?
Years ago one of the dealers in the old York dealer hall (grandstand) had a very curvey lady salesperson, clad in hickory striped coveralls, that were made into short shorts and carefully taylored.
