I did not find a switch on my new VisionLine GG-1 to turn Odyssey on/ off. I run automated blocks and find it necessary to turn Odyssey off for best operation. Is there a switch? Is there a way to turn Odyssey off via the Cab controller?

Did you check the manual? It usually has all the switch settings and where they are.
The Odyssey switch should be with all the other switches for controlling the pantographs and the PGM/RUN switch.
No Odyssey switch placed with all my switches under the removable hatch. May be forced to read the manual....lol!

I couldn't find the manual for the new GG-1 on-line, so I just had to guess. 
Manual states: " The Odyssey II Speed Control is automatically operational when you operate your Vision GG1 in conventional mode." (P 28)
Looks like you are stuck with it and it also states there is slight delay between adjusting your transformer throttle and the change in speed of the GG1
