Very nice. Bob Ross would be proud.

Looking good David! Bob's theory of "happy little accidents" forms the whole basis of my modeling!! Talent never goes out of style, maybe the 'fro, but not the talent!
Dave,
it looks very good. I always liked watching Bob Ross. I went to a backdrop painting clinic a few years ago out of our area. The clinician and a few in the audience kind of scoffed at Bob's techniques, but the clinicician's examples weren't any better than Bob's In my opinion.
Way to go Again!
"happy little trees."
Like the background, it's not as easy as Bob made it look tho, I learned that trying to paint some happy little clouds on the background for my grandsons layout.
And my favorite part of watching Bob Ross...
I still clean my brushes the same way no matter what I'm painting.
Jerry.
Dave,
Great looking backdrop!

Very nice. Good sense of depth with the reflection.
As for backdrop painting clinician's scoffing at Bob's technique... The Bob Ross technique is referred to as "wet on wet" with all of the painting being done quickly and finished up in "one sitting". While this has an inherent "immediacy" which leads to a "painterly" look, it can have some draw backs. A more traditional style of landscape painting involves planned sketches, followed by layers of underpainting and top coats. A building up of the final painting which allows for changes and adjustment during the process to try and achieve the final look.
The Bob Ross technique is very different from of landscape painting techniques, and so draws the ire of traditionalists.
Pretty nice.
The rock mold look very realistic.
Andre.
I should turn my sweetheart loose with this guy.
I'm thinking it great stuff
David, Mike and Nelson, those are really good-looking backdrops. Obviously, Bob Ross' technique works, at least for model railroads layouts.

My sky and clouds are more out of the Van Gogh school - think Starry Night,
How many ears do you have, Marty?
I remember watching some of his shows as a kid and trying his methods. I'm just not meant to be an artist.
Great backdrops everyone! You obviously have the talent I lack.

Fine - looks dang good. I learned a lot watching him, too. But don't take away everything you see - keep your hair trimmed, okay?

All 3 of them....happened when I moved into my Picasso phase,
Used to love his show. It has helped me with a lot scenic backdrops
I talked to my sweetheart artist/painter, she remembers Bob Ross vividly
Looks great!!! Bob Ross was good and you learned from the master of painting.
"You make your world the way you want to make your world"
Bob Ross is a favorite on my RR and still gives art clinics at Cathy's Craft emporium.
