I was wondering if anyone tried to retrofit a WBB True Blast Plus in a Lionel locomotive? Now that they are bringing out the Scale GG-1 with True Blast Plus and hopefully will offer the unit to upgrade the earlier GG-1's. I wonder if it can be fitted in the Lionel MP-54 Pennsy MU cars made in the early 1990's.

Not sure about the specific locos that you mention but I just had a (fully functional) PS2 MTH Rugged Rails (aka the "super short" loco) gutted and True Blast Plus installed. My tech had no trouble and will pick it up this weekend or at York depending on his schedule.
You could pretty much put it into anything I'd think.
People on the forum have reported stuffing True Blast Plus into an RMT Beep and there is not much room in those.
Sounds good, I have a Powerd combine and a coach I powerd by switching the components from a powerd combine. If or when Bachmann releases the GG-1 sound for seperate sale I'll have to check it out.
If the Lionel MP-54 MU cars are similar in length to the K-Line interurban's or heavyweight passenger cars there will be plenty of room. I am not familiar with the Lionel MP-54 MU cars.
Also you may want to purchase your new WBB TB plus from an online dealer rather then directly from the Bachmann website as you can save a few dollars.
