I'm posting here guessing that more are interested in this forum than elsewhere. I watched many youtubes on the subject but found one suggestion absent. While it is helpful to find a similar car in places like railroad archives online for guidelines, I found it equally important to note the date of the photo. I model the Rio Grande of the 70-80 time frame. The state of weathering is often much less severe than archive photos often show, especially with regard to graffiti. Books and videos I have show no graffiti and only mild weathering on all roads, with many cars looking very clean by comparison. So consult those online archives carefully!
