I got a new Weaver 57' 2 rail reefer for a great price on eBay. It came with sound but the seller, I think, did not know that.  I have two questions. The first is how does one open the reefer to gain access to the electronics inside. Something has broken loose and is rattling around inside. I run 3 rail so I want to convert from 2 rail to 3 rail. This is easy enough, but this leads me to my second question. Where can I get the coupler assembly for 3 rail that has the pick up roller. I have the MTH Weaver trucks, and if I run without sound they will be fine, but if I want sound I will need the coupler assembly with the pickup roller.

Thanks,

Ed

Thanks, found what I needed to open the reefer. The speaker had broken loose, assume it was held in place by hot glue. Since this was a 2 rail version is the pcb control board the same as the one used in the 3 rail version? DC vs. AC question, or does the board handle both. I will still need a source for the two coupler assemblies with pickup rollers if the board can be used with AC.

Thanks,

Ed
