It has been a while since I posted one of my legacy conversions here on the forum. Thought I would post my most recent one which is a very cool model to be updating with legacy tech. This is a Weaver Brass Reading Crusader. This engine is using the BEMC and RCDR combination for controls and has the classic RS Lite (R&BM 425) and LTC1 board in the tender. No fancy smoke effects this go around. Just a basic MTH unit to provide a nice stream of smoke out the stack using a brass funnel. A chuff generator was used from Gunrunnerjohn. Works great and is much easier than setting up magnets on a wheel. The entire shell of the locomotive was used as the antenna so the frame was insulated and any connection point was insulated and attached using a nylon screw instead. This engine turned out great. See the photos and video below.

The Crusader has always been one of my favorites.

Great job!  I may have to buy one and have you convert it after seeing it!

If you do Sean, may be on a waiting list. Not sure how much free time Sid has, but it will be worth it from what I hear from my good buddy Pat(harmonyards).

I'll have to look at this tiny. Another excellent job I'm sure.
