I bought an A-A set of Weaver E-8's a couple of weeks ago. Both units came without the body mount screws much to my surprise and just short of a disaster when I took them out of the box. I searched online for a parts diagram for these units and couldn't find any info at all as to what size screws go in these things. I want to put the correct screws in them so I don't crack or break the posts. Any help with the screws size would be greatly appreciated.

Still in business. Timko train repair. With the flywheels, an early speed-control was done to both E8 models.

Mike D, the early ones did for sure. I have mine with a Williams E unit right now but they will be getting the Cruise Commanders soon, I just have to finish with some Lionel F3's converting to can motors and a pair of Williams E7's. If you look, the frame is a keyhole engine mount.

No. The big mabuchi motors with no flywheels might be the same but thats it. Weaver E8's were made by Samhongsa of Korea. The trucks are correct for E8's with equidistant wheels and axles in the truck block. Williams never had equidistant wheels in the truck blocks at the time of Weaver models importing the E8's. Williams trucks for 3 axle trucks were off on the inner wheel -axle set.

Williams E7's came way after Weaver imported the E8"s then sold the molds and tooling to MTH.
