I'm looking at a Weaver NKP Berkshire on ebay. Does anyone out there have one? It looks to me one the picture, that the firebox is too big. I wonder of those who have one, think about it.

I purchased an NKP unit identical to the one you are considering a little over a year ago from ebay as you are. The engine looks really good and I don't believe the firebox is out of scale. The unit does have tether plug issues and I have not been able to make it run successfully yet. It has been to two repair shops and still doesn't move at all. I have other Weaver engines and all other than this one have run fine. I am hoping to speak to some folks at the York show and get some direction on how to proceed to get it running. I looked on ebay and if its any consolation, you are paying about half of what I did. As far as the firebox and the overall look is concerned, I would expect you to be ok with it. Bill
