I recently acquired a Weaver (G1723LP) brass 3 rail NKP Hudson with RailSounds. I removed the tender shell in order to install a 9V battery as per the instructions in order to run the engine conventionally. It states that the battery connector can be found among the wires and to attach the battery and secure it in the bracket provided. I have not found the connector and no bracket is visible. From my observation the only space for a 9V battery is at the back of the tender floor underneath the circuit board. Presently the engine will only run in forward when using a Lionel CW-80 transformer. Any suggestions on this would be welcome. I hope to convert this engine to MTH ProtoSounds if I can find someone who can do this.
