Received the Weaver H30 from AM Hobbies and was really impressed with the weight and detailing of this covered hopper car.
Was it made in the good old USA?

I have several of the H-30's, the detail and weight are top notch and well worth the money for a top of the line car. If you are a Pensy fan these are a must have. I believe this car was made by the same China company that made the B&O wagon top box car.
I believe it was the up coming Milwaukee Road Ribside Boxcar that they were working with and American MFG.

I received my two hoppers from AM Hobbies today also. Very nice cars. How do you add the break line plart? What are the extra screws for?
I kind of wish I got the Tuscan Pennsy instead of the gray Pennsy. What does the car wih Shaker Brakets look like?

The shaker brackets are low on the side of three hoppers pictured. A device was added to vibrate the hopper.
I run scale couplers and am assuming the 4 screws provided are for them. Haven't had time to convert it yet. While I'm not a Pennsy modeler I try to buy different models just to create a mix in my consists. This car has nice detail and from what I remember from York when they showed the car it was tooled and made in the U.S.A.
