While watching the Dodgers beat the Rockies this afternoon on TV, I loaded about 25 more Weaver PS-2 covered hopper cars on our website.  These are cars that we've had for years, and I'm just discovering that they've never been up on the web.   Many of them were special run cars..  They are all available 2 rail with weaver plastic trucks/couplers or diecast sprung trucks/couplers.

Question....All the Lionscale (ex weaver) cars I've looked at so far, looked to be easily changeable to 2 rail weaver trucks/couplers.  Just wondering about the Lionel 2 rail kits.  Can u change the wheelsets on the rollerbearing trucks without having to take the whole truck apart, and re-install the truck springs?   Ive had to install truck springs on atlas trucks, and I hate it.

Right now we are offering the Lionscale cars converted to 2 rail...as long as the 2 rail diecast truck supply lasts.  We dont have that many....they are all weaver trucks, so the rollerbearing ones dont have rotating end caps.  We have some Weaver plastic 2 rail trucks too....

Getting the Lionel 2 rail kits hasnt been easy either.  Our Lionel supplier says we have to get them straight from Lionel, and that Lionel never answers their phone, or much of anything else, either.

Weaver cars were designed with a center bolt (2-56 X 3/4" or 7/8") that attached the wheel set/complete truck, and coupler assembly to the car. One bolt does all.  Bolt screwed in to the plastic frame of the car.   Changes from Plastic truck to die cast truck usually required a slightly longer screw.

Yes one needs a 1" long 2/56 screw compared to the "standard 3/4 inch" screw that comes with the die cast Weaver trucks for hopper cars. Not souch for box and flat cars.
