Silly question, can the shells of rolling stock be interchanged? They are the same length? I have a specialized car that cleans track and i have an old Premier MTH rolling stock. Would love to swap them. Thanks!

Should work with a boxcar using the Weaver shell on an MTH frame,probably have to make mounts on the Weaver shell.

It should work. I had an older Atlas that swapped in a Weaver frame. Since Weavers didn't use screws to hold the body on. All you should have to do is make holes at the location of the mounts on the MTH doner.
